Decision Makers (GDM Only)
When making a group decision using Tetra GDM, the users who will participate in the decision making process must be specified by the model owner. There are three types of access that can be granted to users:
- Model Owner: There is only one owner for a model, and this is specified when the model is created, using the Tetra Administration Tool. This is the only user who can create alternatives and criteria, and specify weights.
- Decision Maker: These users specify ratings for alternatives that are used in making the group decision. Each decision maker is given a weight, indicating the relative importance of that person's ratings with respect to the others.
- Read Only: These users can only view the model, and cannot specify ratings. Note that a regular decision maker can be changed into a read-only user, thus freezing that users' ratings. (If you are creating a read-only user who will not be specifying ratings, make sure to set their weight to zero.)
Once a model is created on a server, the model owner can log in and then define the decision makers and read only users for that model. Each user needs to be given the model name, server information, username, and password in order to be able to access a model.
This section contains a subsection on working with decision makers.
