Note that, in Tetra GDM, only the model owner can compute overall scores.
Once all weights and ratings have been specified for all criteria and alternatives in the model, it is a simple matter of running the solver to compute overall scores for each of the alternatives. To do this, click on the Solve icon in the toolbar, or select Solve All in the Model menu. This will result in a solve dialog showing information similar the following being displayed.
In these ratings preferred choices are indicated by higher numbers. The best choice is shown in bold. You can print out a report of the solution by clicking the Print Report... button.
In Tetra it is possible to solve a subset of the entire model. This is done by choosing Solve... from the Model menu. This will display the filter dialog as shown below. Note that in Tetra SDM the Decision Makers area of the dialog is not present.
You can specify a subset of alternatives, decision makers (Tetra GDM only), and a branch of the criteria tree. Selected alternatives and decision makers are shown on the right-hand side. To remove an item, select it and press <-Remove or double click the item. To add an item back into the list, select it in the list on the left, and click Add-> or double click the item. You can add or remove all alternatives or decision makers by clicking corresponding buttons. You can also choose a specific branch of the criteria tree. Click on the ... button to the right of the Parent Criterion Node field, and browse to criterion you wish to specify as the parent. This will generate a solution based on the ratings for all criteria below, and including, the selected criterion.
Once you have completed your selections, click the Solve button and the partial solution will be computed.
